Privacy Policy

How we handle your information. Short version: we collect only what we need to reply to you, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Last updated: August 2026

Buzzcraft Studio (“we”, “us”) operates buzzcraftstudios.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to meet our obligations under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

Only what you give us. If you fill in the contact form, we receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you choose to provide it
  • A rough budget figure, if you choose to provide it
  • The message you write
  • Which service or pricing tier you arrived from, if you came via a link that specified one

If you email, call or message us on WhatsApp instead, we hold whatever that conversation contains. We do not require you to create an account and there is nothing to log into.

Why we collect it

To reply to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to run the project. That is the whole purpose. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not enrol you in an automated follow-up sequence, and we do not use your details for anything you did not contact us about.

Who else sees it

Contact form submissions are processed by Web3Forms and delivered to our email. That means the message passes through their systems and our email provider, both of which store it. We do not share your information with anyone else, we do not sell it, and we do not pass it to other agencies or advertisers.

If you book a call, that is handled by Calendly, which collects the name, email and any answers you give when scheduling. Booking opens on Calendly's own site rather than being embedded here, so nothing is loaded from them unless you click through.

Some of these providers store data outside New Zealand. Where that happens, we rely on the provider maintaining comparable safeguards to those required here.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used: which pages people read, roughly where they came from, and whether the contact form gets used. It loads on every page. There are no advertising, remarketing or ad-personalisation trackers on this site: those are switched off explicitly in our Google configuration, not merely unused.

Google Analytics sets its own cookies to tell repeat visits apart, and Google receives your IP address as part of that. We see aggregate reports, never individual identities, and we do not attempt to identify anyone from them.

If you would rather not be counted, you can block it: use your browser's tracking protection, a content blocker, or Google's own Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking it changes nothing about how the site works for you.

The notice at the bottom of the page tells you analytics is in use; it is information rather than a choice, and dismissing it only hides the notice. That dismissal is remembered in your browser's local storage rather than a cookie. We would rather say this plainly than show a consent box that does not change what happens.

Two external requests do occur when you load a page: web fonts are fetched from Fontshare, and some images may be served from an external image host. Those providers will see your IP address as part of serving the file, as is normal for any request to a server. If we add analytics or a booking widget in future, we will update this section before doing so.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted within roughly 24 months. Records relating to actual client work are kept for seven years, because tax and business record-keeping rules require it.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it, where we are not legally required to keep it

Email reach@buzzcraftstudios.com and we will action it within 20 working days, which is the statutory timeframe. There is no charge for this.

Security

We use reputable providers, keep access limited to the people who need it, and use multi-factor authentication on the accounts that hold client data. No system is completely secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach ever affects your information.

Client accounts and assets

Worth stating plainly since it comes up: for clients, ad accounts, analytics properties, pixels and domains are set up in your name, not ours. We hold access, not ownership, and that access can be revoked by you at any time.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to resolve it. If you are still unsatisfied you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top. For anything significant affecting existing clients, we will tell you directly rather than relying on you re-reading this page.
